Quick Administrative Note

I'm about a day or two behind with my e-mail. Oddly enough, real life does keep me busy away from my computer. Don't worry, I plan on catching up this evening. If you sent me e-mail recently, have patience.

Actually, though, I feel like I'm behind on pretty much everything. Is it just me, or is everyone else kinda dragging their asses lately?

Yeah, I've been having a bit of a June swoon...

Pablo Defendini | June 14, 2007 05:06 PM

Same here. Glad to see it's not just me. I've got a backlog of projects waiting for me at home that I just haven't had the motivation to start. . . I think it's the summer heat, making me lethargic. Always seems to happen around this time of year.

MWT | June 14, 2007 05:13 PM

Really? And here I thought you were getting back into the swing of things, what with the latest crop of Whatever entries.

As for me, I've been chugging along on things quite swimmingly.

Steve Buchheit | June 14, 2007 05:32 PM

Almost back to human after all the fun crap of this spring. Still, the over-time is starting to kick my butt.

That and the zombification yesterday. I'm not a young man anymore. I don't bounce back from that as fast as I used to.

Sarah Monette | June 14, 2007 05:32 PM

Dude. Not just you.

Smith | June 14, 2007 05:36 PM

I feel lately like I've been living that old James Schmitz story, "Where the Time Went." About a writer whose time is being stolen so he can never get anything done. He'd barely get started and it was time to go to bed again. Unfortunately in my case, I think it highly unlikely the time police are going to take steps to correct the matter.

My ass dragged yesterday. Semi-dragging today. It's the lousy weather. Cloudy, moist, cold. Usually I like depressing weather... but hell, this is JUNE, not October! Where's my Global Warming, dammit?

Tim Walker | June 14, 2007 05:53 PM

Rampant drag-assery here.

Malcolm Tredinnick | June 14, 2007 06:00 PM

I'm getting behind a bit in things, but it's not your standard ass-draggery: the real world has upped its pace a bit and Things Requiring Attention(tm) have flowed in faster than normal.

Must. not. let. head. explode. Leaves. mess. on. carpet.

Adam Ziegler | June 14, 2007 06:22 PM

Can't remember not feeling that way.

Sam Taylor | June 14, 2007 06:33 PM

Speak for yourself, buddy. :)

Between training for my Kung Fu tournament, writing a novel, training for a sword fighting tournament, and working -- I'm about to pass out from exhaustion!

Tania | June 14, 2007 06:42 PM

It's not just you. I'm glad to find I'm in good company.

Chang, for rizzle. | June 14, 2007 07:17 PM

Same here. Glad to hear others are draging their glutes. I need a month off, more yoga, good food and bed rest. Some books, too. And of course the company of a lovely lady. That'd be the missus. But do I have to bring the kid? Can't I just leave her with my folks for once? No? Fine.

JH | June 14, 2007 07:52 PM

I've got this "June swoon" thing too, a bit, AND I'm point man on a comics page revamp. Hooray for not wanting to deal with the angry masses demanding their Rex Morgan back.

Annalee Flower Horne | June 14, 2007 07:55 PM

Is it just me, or is everyone else kinda dragging their asses lately?

Well, that's what happens when you become a zombie.

hugh57 | June 14, 2007 09:49 PM

Well, that's what happens when you become a zombie.

Or when you're faced with the prospect of having to drag said ass to the Creation Museum.

Jeremiah | June 15, 2007 08:43 AM

Oh definitely. And a friend just asked to hang out some weekend, and I'm booked for the next three! So the ass dragging is far from over. ug.

Brian Greenberg | June 15, 2007 01:36 PM

Clearly, time is moving faster than it used to.

I blame the internet.
