Book Tour Diary Recap

For those of you who did not catch it earlier, I kept a near-daily Book Tour Diary over at the Ficlets Blog. I posted the last installment of it today; here's the index for the whole thing.

I'd never seen a day old Scalzi post without a comment. This one looked lonely.

Well, you know. It doesn't actually feel anything.

Oh sure, you can personify aliens that lack the natural ability for emotion -- but you can't grant a little heart to a blog entry. That's cold man. That's cold.

Cheer up, little post.

John Scalzi | May 12, 2007 03:49 PM

You people are weird.

Says the man who tapes cured meat products to his pets...

Yeah... We're the weird ones here.

I'm with Dan. I think you lost your right to say something like that looooong ago. Off the top of my head:

1) Bacon cat, of course
2) Talking book promos
3) Starting a book with the word "fart" in the first sentence.
4) Is he bald, is he almost bald...
5) Phonetic pet names
6) Several, um, interesting photochop pictures
7) The mere offer of interpretive dance to a bunch of Google geeks.

Also, I must admit -- none of that makes me any less weird, but relatively speaking, it seems odd for you point that finger.

How weird I'd put that much thought into this post. At least it's not lonely anymore. ;o)

John Scalzi | May 12, 2007 04:35 PM

I didn't say I wasn't weird. I'm saying you people are.

Dan | May 12, 2007 04:50 PM

Man... You've gotten bitter since you've turned 38.

Thanks for crusing by the Borderlands in SF. I was able to get there this weekend and snag an autographed copy of Last Colony. We dont have too many independent book stores left in the bay area and its great to see support for them.

thanks again
