Re: That Contest Thing

I'm running a little behind, on account I had to take my dog to the vet this morning (she's fine), and I have a couple other unexpected things to deal with. I'll have the winner up by, oh, five o'clock eastern or so.

The first one who complains is disqualified.

Hey, that sucks! (And I never entered the contest, so I'm pre-dis-qualified, so nyah nyah!)

Complain? On the contrary, I find the heightened expectation generated by a fairly random announcement time to dovetail nicely with the momentary concern over your pooch. That added to the opportunity to fawn some more creates what can only be described by some long European sounding word, probably with an umlaut, which unfortunately escapes me at the moment.

So, in your own time Mr. Scalzi...

Did the dog eat some bacon off the cat? The tape can get sticky.

Take all the time you need. Scalzistania is a very patient country.

No problem. I have all the time in the world, Mr. Scalzi.

The dog and other parts of life are way more important than the contest.

Hmm, this life craziness seems to be going around in a circle of my coworkers and friends. Yesterday was heck-on-a-stick and today isn't too far behind. Every half-hour a whole new pile of wonderful gets dumped.

Everyone Who Entered Except for Chuk | September 26, 2006 12:32 PM

Hey, that sucks! Consider this an official complaint from all of us!

Brian Greenberg | September 26, 2006 04:08 PM

OK, now that you announced a winner, can people complain now?

(I didn't enter, so I have no dog in this fight. I just know how much people enjoy complaining about something...)
