Mike Argento and the Dover, PA ID Trial
For those of you who have been following the basics of the "Intelligent Design" trial in Dover, Pennsyvania, here's an excellent resource for a more or less daily perspective on what's been going down there: York Daily Record columnist Mike Argento had been attending the trial from start to finish (which was yesterday) and has been writing rather acidly about the proceedings. He's not Mencken at the Scopes Monkey Trial, but that doesn't mean he's not been doing a fine job. Also, he's clearly having fun with it. His blog has all the relevant columns -- they start on September 23rd and conclude with an entry today. It's good stuff.

Mr. Henry, a comment that is not about the entry it is attached to, that also directs people to a Web site that is also not relevant to the entry, and is repeated, is effectively indistinguishable from spam, and has been treated as such.

I'm suddenly embarassed to be wearing my University of Idaho Alumni shirt today. I knew Scott Minnich was wierd (beyond the normal scientist stereotype), but expert witness for ID? Oy. Good thing he didn't try to teach me that in any of the classes I took from him.

Wow, the school board members are so transparently unable to keep track of their own lies. They seem to think they can just erase previous statements, change their past motivations, and generally change history by repeating stuff that baldly isn't true.
I wonder where they got that idea?
Maybe someone should have explained in wingnut training camp that school board officials can't invoke executive privilege . . .
